ACCOMMODATION
APOKA SAFARI LODGE
The Apoka has 10 cottage tents with en-suite bathroom facilities. The lodge stocks some dry foods. Its one of the newest lodges in Uganda located at the centre of the headquarters of the Park. The cottages are built of wood with private views across the plains to the jugged mountains in the distance.
All rooms are en-suite with balconies and lamu beds. Twin rooms have two queen size beds and double rooms one large king size bed. The indoor bathrooms have double sinks and a large shower. The cottages have solar heated running water and the restaurant and game viewing areas have over sized arm-chairs and cushions. Refreshments are served wherever guests wish.
The furniture is hand made, the surroundings are stunning and the hotel staff is from the local community. Generally speaking the surroundings are indeed stunning.
The lodge has a swimming pool overlooking the savanna.
APOKA REST CAMP
The Apoka rest camp has 16 chalets with 32 beds. The camp stocks some dry food but visitors are advised to carry their own preferred food stuff and drinks which camp attendants can help to prepare. There are four camping sites within a short distance from the park headquarters where visitors can also camp.
