LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Safaris, Tours and attractions
Game Drives
The best way to enjoy the park’s game is by road. The most frequently used road tracks are the impala and Zebra tracks which connect sanga gate and Nshara gate to rwonyo rest camp. During the wet season, high concentrations of impala, zebra, water buck, topi and buffalo can be found near the rwonyo park headquarters. During the dry season, many animals tend to camp around the swamps and lakes and the most productive roads are the lake side track and kigambira loop.

The most common animals to be seen are the buffaloes, hippos, warthogs, water bucks, bush bucks and duikers. On the east of the lake side track there is the Kazuma and Ruroko tracks where pairs of klipspringer are frequently observed. To the west of Rwonyo, starting near the sanga gate is the Rwizi track which gives a visitor high chances of encountering impala, eland and zebras.
