Launch Cruise
A boat trip on the Nile is one of the highlights on the safari to Murchison Falls National Park. The launch trip usually goes twice daily from Paraa to the base of Murchison falls, at 9am and 2pm, and it usually takes three hours. During the trip you are guaranteed to see Hippos in water and they are reported to be about 4000 hippos. Crocodiles can be seen on sand banks of the Nile.
Launch cruise along the Nile
Along the shores one can spot elephants playing in the water, giraffes, buffaloes, a range of antelopes and other wildlife.
The launch cruise down river from Paraa towards the Lake Albert delta is most favored especially by the bird watchers as it offers one of the best opportunities to see the rare shoebill stock especially during the rainy season.
