ACCOMMODATION
Mweya Safari Lodge
Mweya Safari Lodge is one of the most beautiful lodges in Uganda. The lodge overlooks the Kazinga channel and has amazing views of the channel and wildlife. It has a swimming pool and an out door restaurant where weaver birds can fly all around you, landing on your table. The dining areas and the bar have a view of the Kazinga channel which occasionally attracts large herds of buffaloes and elephants.

The lodge gardens are full of animal life such as warthogs, banded mongoose as well as a variety of bird species. The self contained rooms are very spacious with large beds enclosed in mosquito nets and sliding glass doors onto a private veranda. There is an entertainment lounge with a DSTV as well as a Curio shop and a foreign exchange desk.
The restaurant has al-carte menu of Indian and Continental dishes. Meals are on full board basis.
Other features to make your stay more enjoyable are a pool side bar, Tembo safari bar as well as a board room and a conference room if needed.
The hotel also has a president’s cottage where the late Queen mother stayed in 1954.
Mweya Safari lodge is an up market lodge
Jacana Safari Lodge
Jacana Safari Lodge is located in Maramagambo forest of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The lodge is set on the edge of Uganda’s largest Crater Lake, known as Lake Nyamusingire. The lodge is referred to as a tree house lodge growing out of the forest. The use of poles, wood, rocks and organic furniture blend perfectly with the sights of these tropical hard wood forests. The seven independent luxury chalets and a family cottage that has two rooms joined together, assure guests of a peaceful and unique theme of their stay in a natural environment. The rooms provide maximum comfort; have en suite wash rooms with hot water for showers. The verandas have large panoramic windows which offer perfect views of Lake Nyamusingire.
Facilities in Jacana include a swimming pool which is located next to the lake, a floating deck on Lake Nyamusingire and a dining table for meals. The hotel has a Virunga lounge which is a comfortable area for dining adventure stories about visits to the park and tales of the day’s adventures.
The lodge can accommodate eighteen people per night with seven cabins and one family cottage.
Kingfisher Lodge Kichwamba
Kingfisher safari lodge is a mid-range accommodation facility, located on the hills, over looking the park. At the moment, the lodge has seven rooms with balconies overlooking the park. Accommodation is on half board basis and other meals have to be paid according to the menu.

Institute of Ecology Hostel
This is a budget accommodation facility which offers clean double rooms with mosquito nets. It is centrally located at the park headquarters near Mweya Safari lodge. The facility has shared bathroom facilities. There is a canteen attached to it, where visitors’ can order their meals. Accommodation rates are for bed provision only.
Lake Kitandara Tented camp
Lake Kitandara tented camp situated at the enclave of Lake Katwe is a new tented camp which has recently been built. The tented camps have en suite facilities and a bar and dining area where you can order for your meals and drinks.
