9 Days Fishing Safari

Uganda is an ideal sport fishing destination and Nile pearch of up to 180kg have been caught below the falls in Murchison Falls National park. Other fish which can be caught include Tilapia, Tiger fish, Ferocious fighter, Cat fish and Barbel. Remember that we promote the philosophy of catch and return for conservation purposes.
Most of the fishing tours take place at Ssese islands and in the Nile river below Murchison falls. We supply all equipment for perch trolling but anglers are free to bring their own, especially lighter equipment for tilapia. Our guides know the spots, the tackle to use, and will work hard to get you your fish – as well as ensure that your stay is safe, educational, fun and successful. We reserve the right to amend the itinerary depending on the weather and departure is guaranteed with a minimum of four passengers.

DAY 1: Arrival and transfer to a hotel near Lake Victoria.

DAY 2, 3, 4: LAKE VICTORIA UGANDA.

We shall spend 3 full days on Lake Victoria fishing from a fully equipped 18foot sky boat with twin 60 HP motors, rods and other fishing equipment, captain and local gillie included.

Accommodation is "on the lake" in chalets besides the water at Kalangala on Bugala Island, the largest of the Ssese Islands. Rooms are en suite with showers and flush toilets. All meals included can be taken at the lodge, or packed when out on the boat for extended periods of time

DAY 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls

After breakfast we shall head to Murchison Falls National Park.
Dinner and Overnight at Murchison Falls Park at either Paraa Safari Lodge or Nile Safari Camp(High end), Sambiya River Lodge(Medium end) or Red Chilli Rest Camp(budget)

Day 6,7,8: In Murchison Falls

After breakfast we shall be fish from the rocks around several pools below the Falls. For those not fishing, or for a break, we have the option of taking either a morning or afternoon cruise on the Nile - great for birds/game, big crocodiles and hippos.

DAY 9: Return to Kampala

There can be further time to fish or pass by the top of the falls departing before lunch for the return drive to a Kampala hotel or Entebbe Airport.
