DAY
1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
Airport pickup by our representative
and transfer to Kampala. There is
a possibility of a Kampala city
tour depending on your arrival time.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After
breakfast we shall drive through
the famous Luwero Triangle with
a stop over at Masindi hotel for
lunch and thereafter proceed to
Murchison Falls National Park where
the world’s longest river
explodes violently through a narrow
cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment
to plunge into a frothing pool 43metres
below!
Overnight at Murchison Falls National
Park at either Paraa Safari Lodge
or Nile Safari Camp(High end), Sambiya
River Lodge(Medium end) or Red Chilli
Rest Camp(budget)
Day 3: In Murchison Falls National Park
After
a cup of tea, go for an early morning
game drive on the northern bank where
your guide will help you spot elephants,
lions, buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes,
hartebeests, waterbucks, oribi, Bush Bucks,
hyenas, and on rare cases leopards. Return
to the lodge for breakfast.
After lunch, go for the launch cruise
on the calm Victoria Nile to the base
of the falls. This offers excellent game
viewing of yawning Hippos, Elephants,
Water Bucks and Uganda Kobs. We shall
also see plenty of Crocodiles and many
bird species including Egyptian geese,
King fishers, Cormorants, goliath herons
among others. After taking shots of the
Murchison Falls we shall return for dinner
and overnight.
Day 4:
Transfer to Kibale National park
After
breakfast we shall transfer to Kibale
National Park. We shall drive via the
Albertine escarpment of the Western Rift
Valley on the Masindi-Hoima-Fort Portal
road. This will be a long drive South
passing through the country side while
viewing traditional homesteads and farms.
We shall have a stop over for lunch at
Fort Portal town.
Dinner and Overnight at Ndali Lodge(high
end),Fort Motel(medium end) or Rwenzori
View Guest House(budget)
Day 5: In Kibale National Park
After
breakfast, we shall drive to Kibale Forest
National Park for Chimpanzee tracking
and primate viewing. The activity starts
at 8.00 am in the morning. An all day
search for chimpanzees and other primates
including Red-Colobus monkeys, Blue monkeys,
Red-tailed monkeys and grey cheeked Mangabeys
among others swinging through the dense
forest. Seeing the Chimps is a very exciting
experience-the way they feed, climb trees,
respond to humans and caring for their
young ones is just amazing.
The guide will provide detailed explanations
on not only primates, but also on all
the forest's Fauna and Flora. This walk
is excellent for viewing bird life and
primates in close quarters.
An optional afternoon visit to Bigodi
swamp eco-tourism site is amazing, given
the opportunity of encountering more primates
coupled with beautiful Flora and Fauna.
We shall return to the lodge for Dinner
and Over night.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After
an early breakfast, we shall proceed to
Queen Elizabeth National Park. Almost
100 mammal species and over 606 bird species
make this a superb safari territory. A
profusion of Elephants, Hippos, Uganda
Kobs and many other game make it a rewarding
tourism experience. A game drive en route
may be rewarded with a view of waterbucks,
Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas,
Warthogs and a variety of Antelope species.
After lunch, we shall enjoy the unique
2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel
and into Lake Edward. This trip passes
through possibly the highest concentration
of Hippos and many animals may be seen
drinking at the water's edge. This launch
cruise offers an excellent platform for
photography, bird watching and game viewing.
Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana
Safari Lodge (High end) Or Mweya Hostel
(budget).
Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National
Park
After
breakfast we shall set off for an early
morning game drive along Kasenyi track
and Queens mile in the park. Expect to
see Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Warthogs,
Leopards, Hyenas, Mangoose, Waterbucks,
Kobs, and plenty of birds. After the game
drive, we shall proceed to Bwindi via
Maramagambo and Ishasha sector. As you
drive along the road via Ishasha sector,
animals such as the tree climbing Lions,
Waterbucks, Elephants, Antelopes, Buffaloes
and Kobs can be seen along the road.
We shall have a lunch stop en route to
the Impenetrable forest National Park.
Dinner and Overnight at Mantana tented
Camp(High end),Buhoma Homestead(medium
end) or Buhoma Community camp(budget)
Day 8: In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early
Morning brief by Park Staff at 7.30am.The
rainforest is spectacular as it offers
a dramatic, heavily forested and dense
landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal
trails, allowing access for tourists.
Recorded mammals here include the endangered
mountain gorilla, the rare golden monkey,
buffaloes, elephants, duikers, bush bucks,
leopards, giant forest hogs as well as
other animals. This park is best known
for the fascinating gorillas, where the
time taken to see the gorillas and terrain
varies according to the movements of these
marvelous primates. The thrill of spending
time with and observing these gentle giant
gorillas is a rare and exciting adventure
that will leave you with long lasting
memories of a truly unique experience.
Dinner and Over night at the Lodge
Day
9: Transfer to Lake Mburo
National Park
After breakfast we shall transfer to Lake
Mburo National Park. Lake Mburo is the
best place in the Country to see the gigantic
eland Antelope as well as Zebras, Topi,
Impala and the Sitatunga Antelope.
We shall have a lunch stop at Mbarara
town before reaching the park in the early
evening.
Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented
camp/Mihingo lodge (high end) or Rwonyo
camp(Budget)
Day
10: Return to Kampala.
Early Morning breakfast followed by morning
game drive. Over 68 different species
of mammals have been recorded. The common
ones to be seen are Zebra, Impala, Buffaloes,
Topi, Eland and Roan Antelope.
After the game drive we shall pass via
Lake Mburo. The lake is rich with a diversity
of animal and plant species.
Return to camp for lunch and transfer
back to Kampala.
